North Tonawanda Audubon Nature Preserve
(also known as Klydel Wetlands)
The Klydel Wetlands consists of 70 acres of publicly and privately owned land in North Tonawanda, a heavily populated suburb of Buffalo. The Land Conservancy has partnered with Buffalo Audubon and Citizens for a Green North Tonawanda to acquire the remaining parcels of privately owned land, and in April it purchased 17 acres. The property’s owners should be commended for selling the land at a price far below the appraised value. Special thanks also goes to the National Audubon Society and DuPont for their financial support.
