About the Event

Western New York is a magical winter wonderland. Learn how to identify our region's trees while walking through College Lodge, an old-growth forest near Fredonia, NY. Participants will learn how to identify the trees that populate the Hemlock-Northern Hardwoods forest community, and how the ecology of that community functions over the decades and centuries.

To ensure the safety of participants, this event is limited to 10 registrants. In addition, we request that you wear a mask at all times during the event; if you exhibit any signs of illness prior to the event, or if you've been in contact with anyone who tested positive for coronavirus, please stay home.

About your guide:

Land Conservancy Naturalist Erik Danielson is a plant ecologist based in Fredonia, NY.
