Spring Wildflower Walk at the College Lodge Forest
Saturday, May 8th
Join ecologist, Priscilla Titus and SUNY Fredonia biologist Jon Titus on a walk through the College Lodge Forest in search of spring wildflowers, including a wide variety of spring ephemerals such as blue cohosh, three species of Trillium, dwarf ginseng, goldthread, and many, many more.
The College Lodge Forest near Fredonia is uniquely positioned on the Portage escarpment above the Lake Erie plain. It's a cherished community gathering place, and one of the most exquisite natural areas remaining in Western New York. At least 144 species of birds, 15 species of reptiles and amphibians, 15 species of mammals, and 370 species of plants exist on the property!
This event is free; however, all additional donations will go towards saving beautiful places like the College Lodge Forest.
