Winter Tracks & Wildlife Hike
Saturday, January 25th
10:30 a.m. - NOON

Join the Land Conservancy's Stewardship Director, Josh Balisteri, on a hike at our Mossy Point Preserve in Wales, NY. We will hike from the lower Hunters Creek/ Sergeant Mark A. Rademacher parking lot to the trails at Mossy Point. From here, we'll hike the trails and discuss how to identify signs of wildlife in winter. We will talk about the land use and wildlife history of Mossy Point, how to identify various types of habitat, discuss how wildlife uses the landscape locally and regionally, and go over the basics of wildlife tracking in the snow. NOTE: This hike and the topics covered are condition-dependent and subject to cancellation/change if there is no snow on the ground.
