The Western New York Land Conservancy is shaking things up and getting back to nature! This September we are leaving behind party dresses, bow ties, and the traditional gala for our first annual Conservation Celebration, a fun nature-based party to celebrate our conservation work. The celebration will be held at Blueberry Treehouse Farm in West Falls on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 6-9 pm.

This family-friendly celebration will include live music by Tough Old Bird, a band hailing from Allegany County who recently released their first full-length LP, Garden Dream, delicious local BBQ from Decisions Catering and plant-based food from Avenue 29 Foods, and a slew of kids activities (including a scavenger hunt) for the little ones. Yes, kids are welcome and encouraged to attend! The event will also honor several exceptional Land Conservancy supporters.

What are the food options?

There is something for everyone at this year's Conservation Celebration. You can choose between BBQ or plant-based options. The BBQ meal includes pulled pork, BBQ chicken, coleslaw, potato salad, corn, and macaroni and cheese. The plant-based meal includes either a handcrafted Impossible burger with all the toppings, or Taco Nachos with house-seasoned Impossible meat, dairy-free cheese, homemade pico de gallo and chipotle sauce over corn chips (gluten free). The plant-based option also comes with potato salad or coleslaw (both dairy and gluten free). Please select your option when purchasing your ticket.

Where do I park?

Parking is free and available at The Blueberry Treehouse Farm and across the street at the Mill. More parking options are being secured and we will send a pre-event email with final parking instructions. If you are able to carpool that would be great!

Are there activities for kids?

We are so excited to make the Conservation Celebration a family-friendly event. There is an amazing natural playground for kids, a coloring page and scavenger hunt (with a prize) in the event program, lawn games, and a s'more station.

What happens if it rains?

If there is light rain the show will go on. We will set up large tents to provide shelter from any drizzle. If there is severe weather forecast for the event, we've set a rain date of Thursday, September 26 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m.
